Wagering Requirements Calculator
Work out what a bonus really asks of you. Set the multiplier, pick the base it applies to, choose the game you intend to play, and the calculator returns the amount you have to stake before a withdrawal unlocks.
The offer
Clearing this costs about 280 on average, more than the 100 bonus itself. The expected value is negative.
You would stake 70× the bonus to unlock it.
Figures are unitless, so they hold in any currency. Confirm the base and the contribution rate in the operator's bonus terms, since both vary between offers.
The three inputs that change everything
Two offers advertising the same multiplier can differ by a factor of twenty in how much betting they actually demand. Three settings account for that gap, and only one of them appears in the headline.
The base
The multiplier has to attach to something. Attached to the bonus alone, a x35 requirement on a 100 bonus asks for 3,500 in stakes. Attached to bonus plus deposit, the same headline asks for 7,000. Nothing in the advertised figure distinguishes the two, so the terms are the only place to find out which applies.
The game contribution rate
Slots almost always contribute in full. Roulette contributes a fifth or less, blackjack a tenth, live tables sometimes nothing at all. A requirement that takes an afternoon of slot spins becomes tens of thousands in stakes at a card table, and the progress bar gives no warning while it happens.
The maximum bet while a bonus is live
This one does not change the arithmetic, it deletes it. Bonus terms cap the stake you may place per spin, and a single bet above that cap can void the bonus along with every unit of progress. It is the most common way a nearly finished requirement turns into nothing.
Reading the result honestly
The figure the calculator returns is a volume of betting, not a sum you need to own. Clearing 3,500 in stakes does not require 3,500 in your account, because the same balance recycles through spin after spin. What it does require is enough balance to survive the variance along the way, and that is where most attempts fail rather than at the arithmetic.
A useful sanity check: if the actual bets figure exceeds twenty times your deposit, treat the offer as unlikely to clear. You can read the full method in our guide to completing wagering requirements, and the mechanics of the block itself in what a wager before withdrawal involves.
Frequently asked questions
How is a wagering requirement calculated?
Multiply the base amount by the multiplier. The base is the bonus alone, the bonus plus your deposit, or occasionally the deposit alone, and the terms of the offer decide which. A x35 requirement on a 100 bonus is 3,500 in total stakes when the base is the bonus alone, and 7,000 when it covers bonus plus deposit.
Does the calculator account for game contribution?
Yes. Slots normally count in full, while table games count at a fraction. Selecting a game with a 10% contribution shows that a 3,500 requirement needs 35,000 in actual bets, which is the figure that matters when you decide what to play.
Do losing bets count towards the requirement?
They do. The counter measures stakes placed, not money lost or won, which is why a modest balance can clear a large requirement by recycling through many spins.
Why does my casino show a different remaining figure?
Usually one of two reasons. Either the operator applies the multiplier to a different base than the one selected here, or some of your bets were placed on games contributing below 100%. Asking support which base applies and which bets counted resolves nearly every discrepancy.
What multiplier counts as a fair offer?
A multiplier below x30 on the bonus alone is generally reasonable, and above x40 on bonus plus deposit is demanding. The number alone is not enough though, since a payout cap or a short expiry window can matter more than the multiplier itself.
Or skip the calculation
A bonus with no wagering requirement returns zero on every setting above. What you win is withdrawable when you win it, with no base to check and no contribution rate to work around.
